| The history of Soldier Blue:
The band is founded some time in 1995, by Simon, Ludde and Andreas and One Other Guy. They are given the opportunity to record a song for free, but are in need of a singer.
Andreas, who played the drums, dropps out of the band in really late '95. Mats stays. In early 1996 a lead guitarist is needed. Robert is the first choice for the band, being not only a genious guitarist, but also a good friend of Simon's. The influences of Metallica, Type O Negative, Helloween starts to mix into Soldier Blue. Ratface changes into Soldier Blue on Muto '96, where the song Reality is first released. SB goes into the studio again this year, to record Rhinofire.
SB records two more songs in 1997: Complete and Feeding Of The Beasts, before releasing Frantic Stroll I on Muto '97.
In 1998 Ludde quits the band and SB have to find a new genre of music to explore.
After one year with only one guitarist Soldier Blue crumbles. Simon leaves to do his military servie and left are Magnus, Anton and Mats. Magnus is not Anton-compatible and Anton is not Magnus-compatible and they can't decide how to sound. The feeling leaves the band. |

The lyrics for Frantic Stroll I Frantic Stroll I "The heavens are crying from their clouded hearts. Betrayal; the grimmest form. Agony; the greatest pain. Her silverchain blows in the lights of ancient fires... ... The sphere is broken, never more, never ever calm. Flying through the atmosphere grasping for the stars. As I burst through night and day trying to cling on, forgiving hands grip my fingers; saving me from death... ... I spin my twisted soul, loosing my intelligence. Judgement is upon me, I am waiting for the punishment. Looking through the tunnel that never seem to end. The caress I get is the warmest to be found... ... Stray, lost, father, mother. I am saved" written in 1997 Dedicated to L. Stridh copyright © Mats Evenson 2000 |
